I wanted to spread the word a little bit about today's Social Media Edge episode, since our guest brought
some of the very best social media information that I have heard in 14 months of hosting the show.
If you only hear one interview from us, I would suggest this one if you have some time.
Shane Gibson is the co-author of "Sociable", a brand-new book for salespeople who want to convert social media time into real-world dollars. His philosophies and the actionable strategies he shared made me buy a copy of his book today.
You can see more about the book at http://sociablebook.com and you can order it via Amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/Sociable-Social-Turning-Marketing-Upside/dp/1439264007/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1263961918&sr=8-1

Jason, if you say this guy is worth a listen then I am heading over to listen to him. Keep up the great work helping us all with great resources and direction. It is much appreciated.
Thanks Jason, I will give him a listen tomorrow. I was at a RE/MAX Kickstart sales rally in Toronto for the last two days and I'm on information overload right now lol.
We had great social media sessions from two Active Rain members actually. Richard Silver yesterday and Tom Ferry today.
Robert - Truly, I think it was exceptionally valuable. His segment (as with all of our guests) starts at roughly the midway point. I'm happy to be of help!
Jenny - Sounds like a lot of fun. I know Tom, but I haven't met or heard of Richard yet.
Jason - sounds like a good listen. Will try to get to it tonight or tomorrow, if it was recorded. I was giving a talk today to the Santa Barbara AOR and spent 6 hours traveling in the rain. Literally.

Thanks!
Thanks for the information, Jason! I am going to check this out - this will be a first for me!
Jason - I wasnt able to make the show today, but I'll go back and check it out.
Hi Jason! You know I do everything you tell me to do so, I listened! Shane DEFINITELY has it going on! (And I love his accent too--"a-boat" for about! Reminds me of my grandmother from VA!) He gave some solid pointers that make me want to go out and get the 'rest of the story' in his book. Thanks for the post and reminding me that I need to stay on top of this SM thing!
Have a wonderful evening---and get some sleep!
Jason,
I had a great time on the show. You guys are a lot of fun and super Sociable! as well. Thanks for the post. I hope you enjoy the book.
Cheers,
Shane Gibson
I hope you all enjoy our book. Thanks Jason for posting this.
