There's a relatively new yogurt shop near my home that we've visited a few times, and I wanted to give them some additional exposure in the hopes of bringing some more customers their way. Yogurt r' Rock is located in the La Frontera Shopping Center, facing the westbound frontage road for Toll 45 (formerly Ben and Jerry's). I keep forgetting to ask if it's pronounced "Yogurt R-Rock" or "Yogurt ARE Rock". Either way, it's worth visiting and it's become a fun, somewhat healthy dessert treat for our family.
The business model is so simple that it makes me wish I'd thought of it first:
- Allow customers to self-serve yogurt and toppings
- Weigh customer's choice on a scale
- Charge 39 cents/ounce

But I wanna know what flavor YOU ordered Jason! And they replaced a Ben and Jerry's? Wow~
Wow Jason now I am craving Frozen Yogurt, sounds like a great business model. Let them know we need one up here in Airdrie Alberta.

Hi Jason...Yummy. That means the decor also.
I'm waiting for you to answer Liz's question.

Liz - I forgot to mention that, eh? It was good old-fashioned chocolate. :) I got the peanut butter chips and mini M&M's, too!
This is the best of local marketing and you are great for your community involvment to help a new business. I applaud your efforts and think I will model some of what I do here on your efforts. I learn each blog. Thanks
Hi Jason,
There is another one of these on Anderson Mill Road in NW Austin off Hwy 183N. My grand-kids love this place!! I like the crushed heath candies on chocolate!
What a fantastic idea! Your right, why didn't you think of it first. Self serve is the key, people always pile on more than a clerk would! We are with your little tyke, gotta have Sprinkles!
Hello Jason - Thanks for the tip. I'm going to surprise the kids and take them this week!
Andy - Great plan - that's what I did, too! Let me know if you want to visit our church sometime - I would love to meet you.
Jason:-) what a fun place the yogart shop would be to take kids and customers for a quick break too. I wish we had one of these, sounds like a really neat place.
Wow and to think I love yougurt, no peanut butter though. I like the decor as well, that is not in the mall is it.
Charles - No, it's not in the mall. It's in a somewhat upscale strip center with a courtyard area out front.
