I'm curious to see if this will bring results or not. If not, no harm done. If so, I can help out a good cause and my daughter at the same time.
If you live in the general Austin area, let me know if you would like to buy some Girl Scout Cookies. My 8-year-old daughter is selling them for the first time this year.
If you buy at least three boxes ($10.50 or more), and you live/work in the Austin metro area, my daughter and I will deliver them to you at your home or office (your choice).
By the way, I already know what you're thinking. YES! They are still just as delicious as you remember them. In fact, you might be doing my waistline a service by getting them out of my house. They are really, really good.
The cost? $3.50 per box.
The sale is still going on for almost two weeks, from what I understand, so time is of the essence. They've even added some new cookies to the old favorites. Meet the cookies here (but buy them from us if you are in/near Austin): http://www.girlscoutcookies.org/
Help me demonstrate the power of social media and blogging. :) They also make great gifts.
Quick update: If you are dieting, or you live too far away to take advantage of this, you can also donate to help the cause, and the cookies will be sent to our troops stationed overseas:

Hi Jason,
I will buy 6 boxes....
Catch 1 .... I live in the San Antonio area.....I will drive to austin to meet with you.
Robert - Let me know what kind you want, so that I can get them. I can meet you on the south side of town if that helps. :)
Darn, Jason, I'd buy them.....I always look for Girl Scout cookies but they don't come around anymore. I was always stocking up on them to get me through the year :)
Jason ---- I love the girl scout cookies -- especially the mint ones -- I have ordered several boxes here in Charleston. Best of luck.
Jason,
If the shipping wasn't more than the cookies, count me in.
Rich
Unfortunately, I have to buy way too many boxes of those evil cookies because I have 6 nieces. After they leave, I send have of those cookies out back for the deer to enjoy.
Jason - Great picture of the Caramel Delite! And we have a freezer full of G.S. cookies since it is always wonderful to support a Girl Scout plus the cookies are delish.
Jason, you can't beat girl scout cookies this time of year wherever you get them.
I can't wait for the Girl Scott cookies to go on sale. My kids love them and I love the mint cookies!
Dude, those Samoas are certainly my weakness! They make me melt in front of 8 year old girls!
Jason,
If I were in Austin...
But since I'm not...
my granddaughter sells them and I have to buy from her.
Jason: YUM! I can't wait to get the Girl Scout cookies I ordered. In December, the day after our FIRST blizzard, a cute neighborhood girl and her Mom were trudging through snow, going door to door with their order form. I had to applaud that effort. And the Girl Scout cookie product made it all the easier. Good luck to your daughter.
I remember selling these as a kid. My dad never helped though. I door-knocked. Your daughter's a lucky little girl.
Jason,
I too am too far away....besides, I already got hit up at the office....such a great cause!
Gaaahh! NOOOO! You just had to go and post a giant picture of my favorite kind of Girl Scout Cookie! Shame on you! Just cuz you're expanding your waistline doesn't mean I want to join you >.<
MMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmm, yum yum. Looks very tasty. Hope you sell a lot of the delicious cookies.
You got to follow up with this to let us know how sales went.
For those of you who were interested in helping, I wrote a new post today that may allow you to do just that. Why not join AR luminary Lenn Harley and donate instead? :)

I have shared this on other "cookie selling parents posts" so I will share here as well. The hubs is a sucker for Girl Scout cookies, because that is how we met. Before your mind wanders where it shouldn't, I was a 16 yr. old GS, selling on the front porch of the store where he was a 17 yr. old grocery sacker!
I love the Caramel Delites too, but I have to confess... at first glance, that larger-than-lifesize pic looked like THE most amazing DONUT I've ever seen!
