"Must-Watch" Video I Found

This is one of the most touching videos I've seen this year.  It's a montage of various members of our troops returning home and surprising their loved ones.

Quick warning: I would highly suggest having Kleenex nearby.  I watched most of it with tears in my eyes.

Interestingly, they used the exact same music as one of my all-time favorite videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlfKdbWwruY

Enjoy!

Jason, first off the thumbs up looks great, second I didn't last 10 seconds, and more than one or two kleenex are required. I am reblogging this, thanks for sharing

My daughter came to me yesterday - in tears.  I thought. OK, what drama now?  She had just watched this beautiful video . . .

Touching is definitely the word Jason. Wonderful video - not a dry eye in the house.

Loved the music too, not to mention the quote from the Bible at the end.

Jason,  I came across this video a few days ago and watched it.  I started crying immediately - just thinking about the touching scenes makes me teary-eyed again now.  Its especially poignant for me - a military mom.

Oh my God do I remember my Husband Thomas is a Marine served 1980-1986. I remember when he left I cried for days we did not have cell phones or internet then. Only snail mail or a pay phone if he could call he would. Oh what JOY JOY JOY it was to see him again. One time before we were married he showed up before I got home from school and waited behind the door I had no ideal he was home and there he stood in his uniform there he stood my heart raced I could not believe my eyes it was him it took me a minute tears flowing and saying I LOVE YOU SOOOOO MUCH OH MY GOD ITS YOU!!!!! Freedom is not free and sometimes we forget that families give up so much. SEMPER FI TO ALL WHO HAVE SERVED ONCE A MARINE ALWAYS A MARINE We married May,1982 I was 17 he was 19 and we are still married 28 yrs later. He is a gem a gem indeed.

Jason -

Thanks for the reminder.

Been there. Done that.

And alternatively:  I've been the one at the door to say, "He won't be coming back."

Three times.

Tears.

I've looked at tears from both sides now.

From home and not -

And till somehow -

I really don't know tears....at all.

Time.......to bring them all home - while they can still hug and be hugged.

I cried like a baby!  Joyful tears for the survivors.  And bitter tears for the thousands of children who will never get those wonderful hugs and kisses.

Oh how beautiful to see the homecomings and joy of the families getting their family member returned back to them safely. It takes more than one kleenex for this video. And as many have said it brings home the sadness as well for the families that will not have this type of home coming. Sue of Robin and Sue

Everyone should watch this video. To many people run off at the mouth and have no idea what our troops are really doing and what a sacrifice they make!

I hope it is alright to re-blog this.  How beautiful and heartwarming.  This was absolutely outstanding and I thank you for posting.  I recommended for a feature as we all need to be reminded of what is really important in life.

Oh great, Jason!  I've been sick all day with a bad cold, and my nose finally stopped running for a few minutes until I watched this.  You warned me, but did I listen? Now I'm done for.  It was worth it though.

I've had a few folks post that on Facebook and I've watched it every single time.  THEN I get caught up over at YouTube looking at all of the surprise coming home videos.  Even the ones where their dogs/cats/etc welcome them home are emotional!

How could anyone watch that without a big towel? Very touching and breaks my heart for those who never got to hug their fallen heroes again.

Seeing those children virtually jump into Dad's arms was very moving.

Jason, a friend sent me this and I watched it on my phone... just before heading into a meeting.  I recommend finding time between watching this and doing anything!
