Since I have been tagged three times with this series of meme questions (below), I thought it might be time to actually attempt to compose this post. Thanks (I think) to Rich Jacobson, Michelle Pimentel, and LaShawn Norden for tagging me this time around. I decided to do this a bit differently (what a shock!). You will see what I mean.
Question 1: Who is my favorite Musical Artist?
REAL ANSWER: I am not very decisive when it comes to choosing a "favorite" anything, frankly, but lately I have been listening to a lot of Keith Green music. Most of you have probably never even heard of Keith. He was a very gifted pianist and Christian musician who died in 1982 in a plane crash, but his music left a legacy behind. This is one of my favorite songs by him.
FUNNY ANSWER: No question - Color Me Badd.
LEAST FAVORITE SONG: I am sure I can think of something worse, but in the modern era there aren't too many songs worse than "We Built This City" by Starship (formerly Jefferson Starship). I once saw an SNL skit about the Solid Gold Dancers, and they called this "one of the most difficult songs to dance to ever created". Agreed. It is also one of the hardest to listen to in its entirety. I defy you to try.

Question 2: Who is my favorite Artist?
REAL ANSWER: Monet and Renoir.
CUTE ANSWER (and still true): My son and daughter. I once wrote a post about Aleah's artwork here: I Love My Daughter's Artwork - Just a Post to Brag on My Kid.
Question 3: Who is My Favorite Blogger?
This is a loaded question, because I am sure to miss someone. I am currently subscribed to over 170 blogs here. No need to rock the boat, right?
Question 4: If I could meet anyone (dead or alive), who would it be?
REAL ANSWER, EVEN THOUGH IT MAY SEEM TRITE: Jesus Christ, although I could really say that I first met Him in 1991 upon becoming a Christ follower.
FUNNY ANSWER: Carrot Top, but not the new, steroid-improved Carrot Top. More like Carrot Top circa 1990. If he is unavailable, then Andrew Dice Clay.
FICTIONAL CHARACTER ANSWER: Lloyd Dobler, which was John Cusack's character in "Say Anything". I think he and I could have been friends.

Question 5: What did I want to be when I grew up?
REAL ANSWER: I included this answer in a previous meme. I wanted to be one of two things: a comedian, or a pediatrician. I used to listen to comedy albums for hours on end starting when I was about 8. I actually entered college as a pre-med major, but didn't stick with it. Looking back on it, I guess I wanted to be Patch Adams.
FUNNY ANSWER: A tax accountant. What red-blooded American boy doesn't want to handle tax returns?
Question 6: What is the most interesting piece of Trivia that I know?
REAL ANSWER: The guy who played Buffalo Bill (killer) in "Silence of the Lambs" now portrays Captain Leland Stottlemeyer on "Monk". Yes, really. That was just the first thing I thought of.
ALTERNATE: The name for Oz in the "Wizard of Oz" was thought up when the creator,
Frank Baum, looked at his filing cabinet and saw A-N, and O-Z, hence "Oz."

Question 7: If I could live in any point of history when would it be and why?
It would probably seem cool or romantic to say "Renaissance Europe", but I think I would probably choose to be a young man living in the late 1960's, because I am likely a hippie at heart. Plus, the music was awesome back then. Who wouldn't want to see Woodstock?
Question 8: What is the most interesting job I've every had?
I worked as a counselor at a boy's home when I was in college. The kids there ranged from 13-17 years old, and they were not quite bad enough to be in juvenile detention, but they couldn't live at home either.
One of the kids was dumped by his mom in downtown San Antonio when he was five years old. Several of them were in gangs or wanted to be.
Once, there was a gun in the house, and that requires us to put all 12 kids on "one room" detention, meaning that none of them could leave the room without supervision except to use the bathroom. The kids there loved me, since I was about 20 and closer to their age - they really opened up and saw me as a big brother.
I would love nothing better than to do something along those lines as a job, but, simply put, I cannot provide for a family of five doing that.

Jason, I haven't been around long enough to get tagged but have thought I really like to see the creativity that the tagg-ee's have been coming up with. I agree that a child's art is the best. good meme- cw
Jason, I would never have thought of you as a hippie. Those were carzy times back then. It is kind of funny that some of those hippies are still hippies but most seemed to become republicans (well maybe some did not go that far right). aj
Jason, this was great! I'm LMAO about "We Built this City." You are so right! And I had NO IDEA about Captain Stottlemeyer! I have to go watch "Silence" again.
I LOVE LLOYD DOBLER!
Jason - This really has been fun reading everyone's MEME, it's nice to see everyone's unique personality. :)
What!?! You mock "Color Me Badd"? Are you crazy? That's sheer talent! ROFL! You know I'm totally joking! And you wanted to be a tax accountant? You were obviously a very strange kid =P
WAYNE - I'm glad that you enjoyed it. Have a great weekend!
BOB - Thanks!
REBECCA - I'm happy that I was to add to your repository of trivia knowledge. As for working with the kids, I have done some outreach stuff with my church to a government housing project, helping kids learn to read and also taking them to a monthly church program.
CHERYL - If you want to write one, consider yourself tagged now.
AJ- I am typically a Republican, too, but I have a hippie mentality about some stuff.
ELAINE - I knew you would probably enjoy this one, along with my other close friends here on AR. "We Built this City" is truly terrible, right? Lloyd Dobler rules.
MARIA - I agree that they are often fun to read. I think this is my fourth one.
LISA - I was mocking the idea of wanting to be a tax accountant, too. I never wanted to do that. As for Color Me Badd, enough said.
Absolutely loved your MEME.....! the good, the bad and the funny! Also love Keith Green and have several of his Cd's..... I also became a Christian in 1991...just before my youngest daughter was born......My favorite though was Rich Mullins - and when he died I remember feeling such an incredible loss -
Boys counsellor -how great and fullfilling...... challenging...
I guess A/R is having problems because I've typed this message twice already and it evaporated!
Jason,
WOW! Tagged three times, popular guy! Glad to see you put a little twist on this MEME! I have to agree on the "Starship" song! WHAT IN THE WORLD were they thinking? As far as your favorite artist, I have to admit I like Aleah's work the best, the "Swirly Bird" piece shows great technique! Hope you had FUN!
You mean there was a time when Carrot Top was NOT on steroids? LOL
Jason- I can actually say yes, I know who Keith is. Good stuff!
Jason ~ I saw Carrot Top on an episode of "Gene Simmons Family Jewels" and could not believe that was him. Steroids was the first word to enter my mind! I would never have guessed that the Captain on Monk was the killer in "Silence of the Lambs". We watch Monk all the time and I have watched "Silence of the Lambs" several times - I can't believe I didn't pick up on that!
It puts the lotion on its body.
Jason, Thanks so much for indulging me with the meme tag. As a newbie on AR, I can honestly say I really enjoy your posts and am happy to now know that I'm not the only one who thinks my child is the best artist :) By the way, I love your daughter's name!
Monet and Renoir. Me too. Keith Green. Whodathunk? I like him too. I like lots of Christisn artists, Jars of Clay and Newsboys are really good.
Jason, have you ever heard Petra when they had lead singer Greg X Volz? Talk about a rockin band they also did christian rock. I'd listen to Keith Green also.
Don R.
What is your definition of a hippie? I encountered many real-life hippies when I lived in the hippie mecca of Eugene, OR, and somehow I don't see you as a hippie....
LIZ - Rich Mullins is another awesome musician who was taken too soon. This is one of my favorites of his: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gBGGX3yvMo
MICHELLE - That Starship song drills into the ear, doesn't it? With regard to Aleah's artwork, she draws creatures with such soul, in my opinion.
KAT - I think I could have taken him in a fistfight before the 'roids.
JEREMY - Thanks! I am not surprised that you know Keith's music.
KATHY - Carrot Top looks scary now to me. As for the captain from "Monk", check it out sometime. He looked like this in "Silence of the Lambs":
PAUL - Exactly.
LASHAWN - I was happy to write it. I think they're fun. Thanks for your compliments! I also think Aleah is a beautiful name. Our other daughter is Abrielle (Abby).
DOREEN - I saw Jars of Clay open for Michael W. Smith in 1996. When they did "Love Song for a Savior", it was very powerful and the Holy Spirit's presence was palpable.
DON - I have heard some Petra, but I am not sure which lead singer they had. I'll have to look that up.
SHIRLEY - Hippies can't be defined by "the man".
Jason.... this was good and yes, with a twist.... ;o) And I loved that movie Patch Adams.... Lastly, I loved Lloyd Dobbler also... that was a great flick... thanks for sharing this.
Jason.....this is absolutely great and one of the best meme's I have read recently.
Hi JEFF - Good to see you here. I haven't seen Patch Adams in ages, but I realized today that he has my dream occupation. Who doesn't like Lloyd Dobler, right?
PAM - Thanks so much for saying that. I really appreciate it!
Great share Jason. Although your answers really didnt surprise me much. Pretty true to who I thought you to be. I have to agree about the new Carrot Top... he really creeps me out now. I used to love his nerdy funny self. I think he has had some plastic surgery too. His face just doesnt even look right!
So is an ice breaker the same thing as a meme? I love to learn about people... so this seems like a fun thing. Dp you have to get invited to do a meme, is it rude to just do one without being asked? One more silly thing I need to learn about blogging!!!
Susan
"I'd rather fight you for something I don't really need - then take what you give to me"......mmm.....He gives me goosebumps everytime I hear him! I love love love that song Jason - thanks for sharing it on You tube - I never thought of going there for some reason.
Liz and Jason, That is one of my favorite Rich Mullins songs, too. This song is great to listen to when you're having a hard time with life.
Great learning more about you, and follow you because you give good substance.
SUSAN - Please write one, and go ahead and credit me with having tagged you (I was supposed to tag 8 people, but I forgot). You have been officially tagged now!
Jason, you learn the coolest stuff by reading these memes..
I'm a "Monk" fan too!
170 BLOGS??? How the heck do you find time to keep up and read anywhere near that many??
ERIC - I am a big "Monk" fan, too. I remember telling some friends that bit of trivia, and they said it either made Captain Stottlemeyer seem more scary, or Buffalo Bill seem less scary.
CAROL - Many of them don't write very prolifically, and I don't read EVERY entry of theirs. I have a lot of loyal subscribers here (current 587 of them), so I try to reciprocate as much as I can.

There. Now we can relive how incredibly badd color me badd was.
Keith Green had a killer song called "Asleep in the Light." Heard it?
I remember in college my whole band read the book "No Compromise" which was written by Keith's wife. It really challenged us.
Jason my friend, you always put a new twist on everything, and anything. Kisses, Liz
LIZ M and DOREEN - You might also like this song by David Crowder:

Nicely done Jason. I have to agree with you 100% on the Jefferson Starship song...although may not forgive you because now it's stuck in my head UGH!
JASON - Carrot Top! Color Me Badd! Wow! (Just kidding...I know that those were JOKES). I have to agree that We Built This City is a blight on the Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship name. I wish they would have just called that group Mickey and Grace lose their minds (catchy, huh?).
Wow!! Some interesting facts I never would have guessed about you. You probably would have been a great "Patch Adams".
Hmmmm, what the heck is a meme - I think I was tagged, but didn't know what it was.
Hello Jason,
Finally got here, call me slow if you like but I get the job done. Working at the Boys' Homes must have been very rewarding and what a great role model you must have been for those young boys.
LLoyd Dobler? I think you would have fit better with John Cusack as Lane Meyer..
