Ken Cook and I have been hosting "Twitter Tuesday" each week for the past two months or so. Why did we choose that name? Well, we both like alliteration, and we talk about Twitter and some of the related tools on the show. We also talk about ActiveRain (since we met here) and using social media to grow your business. Thus far, each of our guests has been a contact that we met while using Twitter.
I mentioned in a post last week that we were hoping to break our "live" listener record, which we did handily, with 57 people! At this point, it seems to be steadily increasing. I would love to break the new record again tomorrow and each week thereafter.
One interesting development this week - we have our first paid sponsor! Real Estate Client Referrals is sponsoring the show for one month, and possibly longer. You mean we can actually make some money having this much fun?!
If you have time, please join us tomorrow at noon Eastern (11am Central). The show runs for exactly an hour.
You can access it right here: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/jckc.
The call-in number is (347) 215-7478, which will enable you to ask questions or just to listen if you're not in front of your computer when we are broadcasting. You can click on the current episode to listen live or you can check out a couple of our previous shows there, since we moved from our previous URL recently. We generally have a pretty active chat room going as well.
We have two modern-day Renaissance men joining us tomorrow:
-
Brian Carter (http://www.briancarteryeah.com/)- Stand-up comic, motivational speaker, and SEO Jedi Master - hilarious dude
-
Ed Bisquera - (http://blog.pdxloan.com/) - Professional musician and mortgage consultant
As always, Ken and I will probably be having a good time with our litany of crazy and funny sound effects, which seem to entertain us to no end. Feel free to call in live with any questions, or if you want to rib us. We really don't mind. All in all, we have a LOT of fun and (believe it or not) we do prepare a reasonable amount before each show. I hope you can make it!
Here's our new JCKC Facebook page if you have been listening and want to become a "fan" of the show.
Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up on this Jason and it is great you had such a large turnout early on. You continue to practice all those great communication skills you have.
Jason, Thanks for the heads up! I will try to tune in if I get back from our agent tour early enough! Thanks & all my best!
Hi Jason...Do you have any idea who you are competing with at noon (eastern standard time) tomorrow?
I will be listening in to your show a little later in the afternoon.
Glad to hear you have a sponsor. We'll always be able to say we knew you when.
Perhaps you will be as famous someday as the other Noon Performer is.
Kate
Jason - wish I could be there but out with out-of-town buyers who are close to making some decisions. Have to check back in later. Best of luck - wish I could help you beat the old attendance record.
Jeff
Once again - HOPE to be there :) I can't think of anything more important to tune into at that time ... :P
GARY - Thanks for your kind remarks, as always. We have been very pleased with the growth of our audience so far.
DON - Thanks for checking it out - you can always listen to the archive recording if that is easier.
KATE - Is something happening tomorrow that I should know about? :-)
JEFF - I hope your buyers make a decision tomorrow! I will be interested to see how many people "tune in" this time around.
STEVE - I hope you can make it, or at least listen afterwards to the recording.
Jason,
Sounds like the makings of a great show! I will try to catch it!!! Good luck! Thanks, Fran
FRAN - Much appreciated, buddy! I hope you can join us.
I knew it! Your doing all this AR stuff to propel you to become the next Howard Stern!
Are you still here? I didn't ever see that Meme so I assumed you had just gone away and disappeared......(one day you will give in)......you can delete me but I won't go away.....
GREG - Man, you nailed it! Give it time...
JULIE - I may actually do this if I can think of 7 NON-BORING items to write about.
I've marked it down - now lets hope I remember! I have managed to listen a couple times and you guys do have some fun! Good job!
CAROL - You can also set a reminder on the page itself, but I don't know how that works (probably an email notification). Thanks for listening!
Hey Jason!
Congrats. Will not be able to make the live show. Do you plan on a podcast? It would be a great way to share
Thanks
Tony
I'm re-arranging the schedule now. Belonger has a weekly conference call that I'm a part of, but I'm waiting on word to see if we're a go.
TONY - Each show can be downloaded as a podcast later, so feel free to listen at your convenience! Thanks -
LARRY - I understand. I think Ken is actually part of that call, too, if I'm not mistaken, so it must end around the time we start our show together.
Caught most of the show today, good job big guy. I hope it continues to grow for you, and I was sorry to read that Clint couldn't hear it, but I'm sure he'll listen later.
JL - Thanks so much for listening, buddy. Much appreciated. I'm sure Clint will hear it, since they are paid sponsors!
I thought it interesting the thought that microblogging could become more important than traditional blogging. I fully understand how microblogging hits more in less time, and takes less time, I guess I'm just curious how to get the right audience "listening" - unles you purely play a numbers game (hence almost 12,000 follows - insane).
STEVE - That's an interesting point. I think microblogging really is a numbers game overall, but I have managed to connect individually with a lot of people on Twitter. I think it's especially useful for those who want to participate actively in social media, but don't consider themselves to be writers.
Excellent point - in the end I think it may require roughly the same time investment.
STEVE - To get results, I think you're right. I am attempting to do both (clearly), and enjoying both for now. Twitter is more like a break from the "serious" stuff, although I guess I'm not all that serious with my posts either.
Thanks for the good information..i will listen
