In case you don't normally read my blog, or perhaps you have crawled under a rock for the last several months (and who could blame you?), Ken Cook and I have been hosting a one-hour show called Twitter Tuesday every week at 11am Central (noon Eastern, 10am Mountain, 9am Pacific) on BlogTalkRadio.
We have a guest or two each time, and we talk about various social media topics and using them to grow your business.
Sometimes, we just riff on each other and use funny sound effects and music to make each other laugh. It pretty much depends on our mood.
We averaged 231 listeners per show for February, making us one of the top social networking shows for online radio!
This week's guest will be Cathy Browne (she's @cathybrowne on Twitter). One of the topics we will be
discussing is how she has used Twitter as a job search tool.
Cathy is a high tech public relations expert with 20+ years experience in semiconductors, intellectual property, telecommunications, networking, wireless and hardware. She is passionate about work, wine, cats, family, friends, politics, belly dancing and Twitter. She describes herself as a "wannabe Californian trapped in a Canuck body".

This Twitter thing is getting bigger and bigger. Last week a couple of our local sports talk guys mentioned that Shaq has a Twitter account!
I'm trying to imagine how Twitter could be used to search for a job. Hmm. I guess if I wanted to use it that way, I'd have to follow more people... and different people than I do now.
We just had another local Tweetup that got coverage from one of the local news shows.
I plan to be there, listening via my iphone!
I am showing homes to an out of town buyer. I will have to catch up another time. You guys rock!
Jason - Awesome ! Sounds like you have a great speaker today ! Good luck with Twitter Tuesday : )
We plan on coming back and listening to some of the past shows. Is great that you are so involved and congrats on the number of listeners.
This sounds like it could be quite an interesting show...not sure if I can catch it or not, but I will try!
I'm planning on being there for the first time in week J-bird.
Jason, thanks for letting me know they also have the recorded shows. I got in one week in the last five minutes and I don't know if it was commercials or something but everyone was gone. This should be a fascinating topic today.
Jason, Twitter and job searching has been getting a lot of coverage lately so your show should be interesting and timely. I was recently followed by a user named @jobangel (or something close to that) who passes job opportunities around the twitter universe.
Jason, I tried to catch some of the show today with no luck. Sorry for this question as it's probably been mentioned earlier...but, do I need to register first with the site? If so, maybe that's why I couldn't hear anything when I hit the play button. It also gave me a 'runtime error' and closed down IE.
I would like to catch future shows, so I'll wait for your response! Thanks!
Terri - Actually, you are the very first mention of this particular error. You shouldn't have to register to listen. I suppose you could try another browser, maybe?
Sorry I missed it. As you know, its hard on Tuesdays right now. But we will look at changing that in the near future. Anyway, I hope all went well.
For anyone that has not followed the show, I recommend it. The guests can be very informative or listen to JC and KC during the down time. They are pretty funny guys but can also be informative.
You DO have to login in though to see and participate in the chatroom. I did enjoy the show today :-) I like the radio stuff. Good job!
I saw your promotional efforts on Twitter and elsewhere. Great job. I'm curious - as a RE broker, what's your mission with this endeavor? Are you looking for exposure in your RE market? Thanks
John - Thanks for the recommendation! Don't forget that you can access the shows ANYTIME via the recordings.
Mara - Right you are. Thanks!
Jeff - It's just additional exposure in general, pretty much like anything else that I do online, I suppose. I have made a little lunch money on the side with our sponsor, too. As the audience grows, perhaps we can be syndicated down the road. Who knows? Frankly, it's a really fun hobby and I enjoy the extra credibility that it gives me when I mention it to others.
Great show on Twitter Tuesday, I missed the last part but picked up some great tips for Wordpress. Thanks!
Jason, I've never listened to the RADIO on the INTERNET, but your show will be the first! I'll tune in next week. Congrats on your recent contribution to the March issue of Realtor magazine! Here's your 5 minutes of fame: http://activerain.com/blogsview/964918/AR-experts-Jason-Crouch-Frances-Flynn-Thorsen-now-FAMOUS
Sounds like you are having a lot of fun, have a great week.
Jason - Belly Dancing? Lmao! I saw belly dancers in Egypt. Very, very interesting talent.
