Pflugerville Donuts - Opening Soon!

There has been a lot of new commercial development over the past several months right here in Pflugerville, including the opening of Home Depot, SuperTarget, and Best Buy.  One smaller business may not garner as much attention as the big guys, but Pflugerville Donuts will be opening its THIRD location very soon.

Interestingly, I have had a number of emails from local residents who read my blog asking if I know when this latest location will be making its debut.  It's my understanding that it will be opening within the next week!

Located in the strip center next to Radio Shack near 685 in front of Wal-Mart, Pflugerville Donuts will be the sole donut location in this general vicinity.  I haven't had a chance to try their other locations yet, but I understand that they also offer kolaches and breakfast tacos, so I am already a fan.

Lovers of the old Round Rock Donuts location (which closed up shop awhile back) will likely welcome this opening.

Since I am actually trying to lose weight (again), I probably won't be able to frequent this location as much as I would prefer, unless they offer a fat-free version.  On second thought, I don't think I would like a fat-free donut at all.  Yuck.

Other businesses in that center include Baskin-Robbins, Gamestop, Subway, Taco Bell, and Starbucks.

The physical address is 1616 FM 685, Suite 104, Pflugerville.

Boy do those donuts look great!  I love the idea of a fat free donut -- I just wonder how they would taste!

What exactly is a breakfast taco? That's a new one that I've not heard of before.

Mandi - Really?  Wow!  They are one of our favorites here - it's a soft taco filled with some combination of the following:

  • scrambled egg
  • potato
  • cheese
  • bacon
  • sausage

I personally prefer the potato, egg, and cheese, along with a little salsa.

Pflug reminds me of Krispe Kreme before they got so big

I will be over there at the end of March, so I will check them out. Thanks.

Jason, didn't you know that anything with a hole in it has no calories or fat- it falls right out the hole! :-) I am so craving a donut after seeing that picture! I may have to run to the store now, thanks! The closest donut shop to me closed this winter since the snow caved the roof in and the next closest donut shop that I know of is about 20 miles from here.

Wow, those look AWESOME - I think I gained 3 pounds just from that photo :)

Now these look like good Donuts.  Much better than Dunkin Donuts.  They appear to look moe like the Krispy Kremes.

I haven't been to Pflugerville in decades! Home Depot, SuperTarget, and Best Buy, huh. That's a big difference from when I went through there last. I've got long lost relatives out there in them thar hills.

I wish the donuts in the pic were the type donuts at Pflugerville Donuts. The donuts in the pic look to be glazed Krispy Kreme donuts. I'm not impressed with Pflugerville Donuts' offerings at all. The "breakfast tacos" look like they're pre-made and wrapped in saran wrap.

Samir - I'm sorry to hear that.  I was hoping to check it out soon.  Thanks for the tip!

Just had a ham, egg, cheese croissant, and it was crispy and delicious. Also ate a cinnamon roll donut that was fresh and tasty. I've been craving more ever since.
